Meet & Greet request prior to new client bookings
Before your dog is booked in for a stay with us, we ask that all new clients visit us with your dog so that they can familiarise themselves with our home environment.
You will be invited to look around our home and garden to gauge if you feel we are suitable and for us to see how your dog interacts with us.
We will answer your questions or queries during this time and we shall ask you the owners questions too, if all goes well, and your dog seems happy, we will provide you with our booking & consent forms.
We may request a trial stay for your dog, please do not be offended if we request this, this is for the welfare of your dog to ensure we are the right place for him/her and that we are confident your dog would settle for a longer stay. On occasions we may have to decline a booking if the dog does not settle into our environment. We more than welcome clients own pace for integrating a dog into our care, we are happy to work with you to ensure suitably planned transitions.
The only scenario whereby we would accept 2 dogs from different homes, is if they are related families or friends, where the dogs have already spent lots of time together and are content within each others company, this situation does require a trial stay and bookings cannot be accepted without successful trials.
Booking & Consent Forms
Our policies, procedures, booking forms and consents may initially look indepth and comprehensive, they are, and for good reason.
All new clients need to familiarise themselves with our T&Cs.
Our booking forms & consents form part of our licence compliance, they are imperative and are in place to protect both ourselves and you and your dog.
It's extremely important you fully complete all the forms and please tell us about any health problems your dog may have. That way, we can watch out for any problems or treat them according to your instructions.
Anything relevant that could trigger your dog please tell us so that we can keep your dog happy and stress free during their stay.
All vaccination info must be completed (see below for requirements), and an emergency contact must be provided, this would be a contactable local person that you would trust your dog being transferred to in the event of an emergency situation, it must not be a person who may be travelling with you, nor a person who is not aware of you giving the home boarder their details.
No photos or videos will be taken during your dogs stay if you do not agree to this, if you do agree you will be asked to sign a social media/website release form.
Daily dog updates via Whatsapp, Messenger or Text can be sent to owners whilst you are away, As part of licensing, we are required to complete daily notes relating to your dog including feeds, behaviour, health checks, walks, enrichment and general wellbeing notes. These can be copied for owners at the end of the dogs stay if you wish to see a copy, otherwise all information is safely & securely stored for a period of 3 years and then destroyed as per GDPR & Data Protection Act 2018.
